We
are situated approximately 500 yards from Polzeath Beach, 700yds from Daymer
Bay and 500 yards from Greenaway Beach, in an area where John Betjamen lived
and is buried, he described this area as the Jewel in the Cornish Crown.
Polzeath
is famous for its surfing beach, Rock is renowned for its golf course which
overlooks Daymer Bay, well known for windsurfing, with its quiet estuary
waters; This is an ideal beach for the under 6's stretching a mile or more
with excellent sand for building sandcastles. The beach shops here hire, at very reasonable rates, most equipment you might
require to turn your holiday into a true adventure.
Besides
the two main beaches, there are numerous little sandy coves for people
requiring complete solitude or bustling Fishing Ports like Padstow (the home
of Rick Stein) and Port
Isaac (Doc Martin Country) which are only a short distance away and as Polzeath is on the South
West Way, which is around 570 miles long, there are numerous walks both
Coastal and Inland.
To
cater for all tastes the following attractions are but a short drive away.
Watersports
of all descriptions; China Clay Museum; Dobwalls;
Flambards
Theme Park; Jamaica
Inn; Lands End; Paradise Park; Poldark
Mine; Crealy Adventure
Park; Tunnels Through Time; and of course the
Eden
Project
(which is only 35 mins drive away) and much much more.
Our
advise is always book early as our Hotel is small and VERY POPULAR!!
